Overview

ATC Nuclear is currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management including accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly reporting packages including financial statements, balance sheet / income statement analysis, and supporting schedules
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Actively manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
  • Provide financial support in the areas of inventory valuation and reconciliation, and job costing
  • Prepare and review journal entries as part of the monthly closing process
  • Responsibility for cash management and cost containment
  • Responsibility for tax, audit and budget preparation/facilitation
  • Preparation of a variety of reports to include daily collateral reports, reconciliation, financial statements, bank reconciliations and various monthly, quarterly and year end reporting needs
  • Lead any ERP conversion efforts from a finance perspective in effort to ensure all Finance modules and information is correctly transferred and accurate
  • Responsible for complying with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Required to build relationships and work well across functions within the division as well as external organizations
  • Additional duties as assignment by management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 8 - 10 years of relevant work experience required
  • CPA preferred
  • Prior Management experience required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and must be highly skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta/DAX) 2009 or 2012 a plus
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, auditing, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required
  • Proven analytical skills with ability to conduct independent research and analysis, identify issues, formulate options, and make recommendations
  • Must be able to communicate with executive management and board of directors
  • Must be able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and have strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to travel; approximately 10% of the time
