Overview

ATC, a progressive Supply Chain Management Company, seeks a temporary Quality Engineer to be based out of Rotterdam, Netherlands.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides supplier quality and warehouse part support as well as maintenance of the company’s Quality system.

 

  • Review, categorize and drive resolution of vendor, production and inventory nonconformances (NCRs).

 

  • Work with suppliers on resolution of item related NCRs.

 

  • Generate NCR, supplier quality and other quality metrics process improvement.

 

  • Prepare material for and chair periodic Material Review Boards.

 

  • Track completion of Requests for Corrective Actions.

 

  • Perform supplier audit and visits as required.

 

  • Perform evaluations on technical matters when required.

 

  • Perform Part Qualifications when required for new suppliers or parts.

 

  • Provide specification and certification review when requested by inspectors.

 

  • Generate Quality System Procedures and Work Procedures.

 

  • Assist buyers in drawing interpretations (must be able to read engineering drawings).

 

 

  • Perform part quality acceptance calculations.

 

  • Develop product inspection guides.

 

  • Prepare Deviations from Specifications for parts and submit to customer engineering organizations when required.

 

  • Inspect parts if required to assist inspectors.

 

  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

Qualifications

Previous quality or engineering experience preferred with a relevant supplier quality background or comparable military experience. College degree in technical field (engineering preferred). CQE qualification a plus.

 

Should be able to interpret and review charts, tables, engineering drawings and technical specifications. Must be an experienced Excel user and function in the ERP database. MS Access database experience a plus. Experience in using mechanical and electrical measurement equipment desired.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

 

Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Must be able to write technical documents and create presentations. Primary language is English.

 

REASONING ABILITY

 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
